It’s no secret that we’re increasingly turning to our mobile devices as primary communication tools. It does voice, email, text, social media, video conferencing, you name it. But have social conventions and etiquette caught up with technology? When was the last time you had a group dinner where no one reached for the phone at some point during the meal?
The next time you eat out, ask your fellow diners to put all phones in middle of table at dinner. The first person to reach for phone for whatever reason has to pick up the dinner tab. Now that’s one way to ensure you’re paying attention to the people you’re physically with.
